The Kind Design website was designed with creativity, strategy, and a seamless user experience in mind. The goal was to create an online presence that reflects the brand’s personality and to be bold, purposeful, and inspiring. Every design element, animation, and piece of copy was developed to showcase Kind Design’s expertise in branding, illustration, and digital design.
The result was a dynamic, engaging website that tells the brand’s story and serves as a place to connect with clients and showcase Kind Design’s portfolio of work.
The Scope
The Kind Design website was custom-built from the ground up to be engaging, functional, and true to the Kind Brand. The project included website design, development, copywriting, and animation. Designed in Figma and brought to life with custom Rive animations, the site portrays the brand’s promise to always deliver creativity with purpose. Development was handled by Bevan Wheeler using Hugo with Netlify, providing a smooth, responsive experience.
The website features five core pages:
- Home – a simple introduction to Kind Design’s purpose and offerings.
- About – a personal insight into the creator and the brand’s journey.
- Services – a breakdown of branding, design, and illustration services offered.
- Portfolio – a hub that showcases Kind Design’s branding and design projects.
- Contact – a simple, user-friendly way for clients to get in touch.
The Concept
The design was built on the foundation of simplicity meets creativity. A clean, modern aesthetic with playful animations to reflect brand values and enhance the user experience.
From a design perspective, Figma was used to map out intuitive layouts to make sure the flow between sections was effortless. Rive animations were also incorporated, adding energy and creating a site that feels dynamic and immersive rather than static.
For development, the website was built using Hugo, chosen for its performance, cost-efficiency, and versatility. Deployment was managed through Netlify, leveraging its GitHub integration, seamless CI/CD pipeline, and domain management—allowing for rapid updates and scalability.
From the typography choices to the interactive elements, every detail was carefully considered to reflect Kind Design’s signature approach, where creativity meets purpose.
