Kirstin McLachlan

I'm Kirstin, the designer and founder behind Kind Design, specialising in brand identity, illustration, web, and motion design.

With a background spanning health and wellness, beauty, software, retail, and the creative sector, each experience has taught me something new about what it means to communicate with intention.

I hold a Bachelor of Media Arts from the Waikato Institute of Technology, and when I'm not designing, you'll find me doodling in my sketchbook, gaming, hiking, or picking Bevan's brain for technical solutions that'll inspire my next design idea.

Technical Lead

Bevan Wheeler

I'm Bevan, a Technical Lead with over 10 years of experience building enterprise software. I support Kind Design with custom web and app development.

With a background spanning fintech integrations, property management platforms and IoT, I've worked across medium to large companies where attention to detail, security, performance and scalability are critical.

I hold a Bachelor of Information Technology from the Waikato Institute of Technology, and when I'm not coding, you'll find me gaming, hanging out with Raven, or convincing Kirstin that her latest design idea definitely needs a custom animation.

Sidekick

Raven

Raven is a valued member of the Kind Design team, she specialises in walkies, lap sitting, emotional support, and barking at strangers.

Raven joined the team in 2019 and has since become an indispensable part of daily operations. Her keen ability to demand attention at critical moments keeps the team grounded.

Certified in Advanced Napping and Strategic Treat Acquisition, she brings a unique perspective to every project meeting she interrupts.
